A
Auction of promises- Ask your friends, family or colleagues to promise to do something the wouldn’t normally do, then hold an auction to buy the promises. Ask around- Get ideas and support.

Big bike ride-Get on your bike to show your support, get fit and raise funds! Book sale-Organise a second hand book sale and raise money using unwanted books. Baby competition- Ask friends, colleagues to bring in baby photos of themselves, then ask people to pay to guess who’s who.
C
Cake sale-Always a popular one whether at work, school or in your local community centre. Get everyone to contribute cakes or sweets then sell them on. Corporate fundraising-Corporate fundraising is a great way to support Village-to-Village. If your interested, please get in touch! Car Wash- Get a group of friends together and offer to wash cars! Donate the money raised to Village-to-Village

Dress down day- Charge everyone £2 to come to work or school in casual clothes.

Email- Let your colleagues, friends and family know what your doing! Easy fundraising-Shop online as normal using easyfundraising.org.uk and raise money for Village-to-Village.

Football- Organise a football tournament, show off your skills and raise money at the same time.
G
Gift Aid- Remember that if you pay tax you can Gift Aid your donations to make the most of the money you give. Remind people who sponsor you to do the same.

Hobbies-Its important to enjoy your fundraising event. Pick one of your favourite hobbies and use it to raise money e.g. walking, running, cycling

Invite- Invite your friends to donate money to Village-to-Village. International- Think about Tanzania and tie it into your event, party or stall!

Jumble sales-Hold a jumble sale or a car boot sale-get rid of unwanted items and raise money at the same time. Just giving- Use the free online Just giving pages to advertise your event.

Karaoke nights-Get a local pub to donate a room for free, and discover your untapped talents!

Matched giving-Ask your company to match whatever your work colleagues raise, and tell people this when asking for sponsorship.

No smoking challenge- Do you smoke or have a habit you would like to give up? Here is your chance-give up, get healthy and raise money!

Organise-A sponsored cycle/swim/run-whatever your interests. Push yourself a little further and get friends to sponsor you. Orange clothes day- Ask everyone at work/school to wear an item of orange clothing for one day and pay £1.

Publicity-Remeber that getting publicity through local newspapers and radio will boost your fundraising efforts and maximise your opportunities.

Raffle-Get local businesses to donate prizes and raffle them off at work.

Stop for tea-Get friends or colleagues together and host a tea party. Swear box-Set up a swear box at your work and get people to pay up when they swear!

Twenty-four-hour- Raise money by giving something up for 24 hours e.g. sleeping.

Unwanted gifts- After christmas we all have those inevitable scratchy jumpers or socks we would rather pass on. Get together with friends and have a sale, donate the money raised to Village-to-Village

Volunteer- Most events need people to help out, if your interested in helping at any of our events, please get in touch!

Whole heap of change-Provide local shops/pubs with jars to put by the till, collect them after a week or so and see how much money you have raised!
Y
Yes you can do it- Fundraising can be challenging, but keep going and you will be suprised how well you can do. Dont be afraid to ask for help if you need it!

Zodiac party-Invite your friends over for an evening of astrological forecasts and star gazing!
